I began decluttering at 68 because I don’t want my adult children to have to do it after I’m gone. I’m retired and have all the time in the world but the state of California stay at home orders became the push I needed. My children don’t live in California so I send them pictures and ask them if they want something I was going to toss or donate. The donation pile became a problem because there no one was taking donations. Good thing we have a 3 car garage. Your channel has kept me motivated and my husband is so happy ( except for the bags in his garage ).

Joy, that is such an act of love you’re doing. ❤️ After my dad passed away, my mom spent the last few years of her life organizing and fixing up her home. It’s been several years ago now, and we still sometimes talk about what a selfless gift that was on her part. It was really beautiful to open her cupboards and closets and see what she had done. And it made things so much easier for us. You’re a great mom.
